Les Merveilleuses Ladurée Face Color Rose Pot and Refill #2 Review ♫･*:.｡. .｡.:*

Hello lovelies!! I’m so sorry that I haven’t blogged in so long…just been pretty busy but, I promise I will be blogging a lot more often now that everything is sorted out for me!

So, today I will be reviewing Les Merveilleuses Ladurée’s signature product that was actually my love at first sight, and is the product that got me hooked on this brand. The Face Color Rose Blush!

My boyfriend actually got it for me as an anniversary present and I had to wait until our anniversary day to open the boxes, haha. Felt just like Christmas!

Before I get to the blush, let’s start with the Face Color Rose Pot shall we?  °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

The pot comes in 2 pieces, and they’re separated from each other to prevent damage. 

The first piece is the cap…

Look at the design! Everything they do is just so detailed.

And the second piece…

When I got to this piece I couldn’t stop admiring the Cameo!  (｡♥‿♥｡)

Now let’s put them together!

The pot is translucent acrylic and has a Victorian design to it. (The design makes me think of Sailor Moon though...idk why. LOL) Anyways, It doesn’t have a lock so be very careful where you place this, you wouldn’t want to knock it off your dresser. The pot is about 5.5 inches tall and the width is about 3.8 inches.

And now, let’s get to the Face Color Rose Blush!

When I got to this box, I was like “This is the moment I’ve been waiting for!”

Inside the box, the refill is in an elegant lavender satin pouch that carries the refill.

When I opened the lit of the refill I was hit with a lovely rose scent. I would say that the petals smell like a mix between baby powder and rose. The scent just makes me feel so relaxed and happy and I don’t know why, but the scent is very lovely indeed. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) Also, the design of the petals is just so detailed and gorgeous! My mom walked in when I was taking pictures of the refill and at first she thought they were real petals.

You don’t have to put all of the petals in the pot, you can put maybe 4-5 and use them until the blush powder runs out then fill them up again. But I put all of them in the pot because I was trying to arrange the petals to look like a flower/rose, and this is my best attempt, hehe.

The color is a natural pink flush and gives a healthy look to your cheeks. The first applicant can be quite sheer but the color can be built up so, you can apply the blush to make it as sheer or as bright as you want.

Overall

I really like the color, it’s not shimmery but it does give a healthy glow to the cheeks. I might get the color #1 once my #2 runs out. The quality and the design are spectacular and gorgeous like I expected, and the quality is very nice. Even though I have sensitive skin and doesn’t do very well with scented products but, I’ve been using this for about a week now and I see no changes on my skin what-so-ever. So yes! I’m very happy with this product. And from this, I became an official Les Merveilleuses Ladurée’s fangirl. o(≧▽≦)o

Les Merveilleuses Ladurée, Introduction + Cheek Brush and Face Brush Review.♫･*:.｡. .｡.:*

Hello lovelies! Today I will be introducing Les Merveilleuses Ladurée since I just purchased my first LM Ladurée products & I am so in love with the beauty of this brand! (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

For those who don’t already know, Les Merveilleuses Ladurée is a collaboration between the legendary luxury bakery/macaron maker house in Paris, Ladurée and a cosmetic company called Albion in Japan to create this mesmerizing sweet Victorian style cosmetic line that combined quality and beauty together. Albion is also the creator of Anna Sui, Jill Stuart, and Paul & Joe. The debut was in Tokyo on January 29, 2012 and has been gaining more and more popularity since. There are a total of 15 branches in Japan and they just had their launch in Paris this month. 

The brand is inspired by the feminine & luxurious fashion and lifestyle in the upper class of France during the 18^th Century. From the dictionary, Merveilleuses means "marvelous women" or "fabulous divas" that were members of a fashionable aristocratic subculture in Paris during the French Directory.

I've been hearing about this brand since last year but never really looked at pictures of their products. Then, a couple of months ago I randomly bumped in to a few pictures of their products on instagram and…I went nuts!! I was like "ooommggg! these are so pretty!" and immediately became obsessed with almost everything that this brand has to offer. But, since this line is considered a luxury brand, everything is so expensive. Also, since I’m still a college student I had to think over and over about whether or not theses products are actually worth it… Then, a few days after looking at the pictures non-stop...I realized that since I cannot stop drooling over the pictures of their products, it’s time for me to get something from them.

Anyways, here's the first 2 products that I got!

Cheek Brush

Les Merveilleuses Ladurée

They’re probably the prettiest makeup brushes I’ve ever seen in my life!

& they are very very soft. They pick up the powder/pigment quite well too.

Also, if I’m not wrong, I read somewhere that the brushes are made from goat hair.

The Cheek Brush is 6,300 yen (US $64) and the Face Brush is 5,565 yen (US $57).

I know they’re almost as expensive as Tom Ford brushes but, I just couldn’t resist the temptation because of how beautiful these brushes are. The thing about LM Ladurée is that, whenever I see their products I always feel like a princess. It’s not only about the quality of the products (which by the way, I am satisfied with so far) or the price, I think that it’s also about self-satisfaction. Do I recommend everybody to get these? Probably not, because  there are loads of cheaper brushes out there that will work just as well but, if you’re a collector and/or love this brand, then yes! Go for it. (◕‿◕✿)

Like I’ve mentioned in my last post: I’ve seen several reviews of The Little Humming Book I so I decided to get II & III , just to make a review for these ones first then I will purchase I and IV (IV hasn’t been released yet but, I will get it for sure!!! ( >[]<)/

Oh, and at the back of these books there’s a QR code for you to scan. Once you scan the code from your cellphone/tablet then, you’ll be sent to their website then you can choose which ever one you want to listen to.

The Little Humming Book III

Every book has a different humming song/story

Each book consists of 2 eye shadows, an eye primer (eye cream base), and a lip gloss

“Enjoy Me.” Oh yes, I will! (ﾉ)´∀｀(ヾ)

FYI. If you use the 2 eye shadows with the eye cream base it will appear more shiny and glittery especially with flash.

This one is probably my favorite song so far!!

Overall

The texture of both The Little Humming Book II’s & III’s eye shadows feels very smooth! I love the colors; they’re shiny, glittery, and pigmented & can be built up if you want it to be even brighter. The lip glosses are pretty shiny but the texture just feels a lil too sticky for my liking, and doesn’t keep your lips moist. So, I’ll just stick with the eye shadows and the eye primer. These products are not scented as well.

Price: 399 THB per book (about 12.77 USD per book)

Conclusion

What I like!: о(ж＞▽＜)ｙ ☆

1.) Again, the packaging in this series is just very cute and very unique!

2.) Smooth, shinny eye shadows, I'm absolutely satisfied with all of the eye shadows so far.

3.) Variety of colors to choose from even for the people who only wants to purchase only 1 or 2 from this series

What I don’t like: Σ(゜ロ゜;)

1.) The lip glosses for both of these are a lil too sticky and don’t have much moisturizer. When I tried putting it on my lips it dried up pretty fast.

This one is a very simple review just to give you a glimpse of what the colors actually look like.

Majolica Majorca 10th Anniversary Limited Edition Part I ♫･*:.｡. .｡.:*･

Hello everyone! So, this is my first beauty blog. One of my really close friends told me I should start my own blog…I hesitated at first because I felt pretty shy about it (I don’t know why hahaha sometimes I’m just awkward like that) ,but then I thought it might actually be pretty fun! 10^th Anniversary “Skin Remaker Case 2013” Limited Edition

-This case has the exact same design as the Skin Remaker Case II

- The Skin Remaker Case II has a light gold color on the outside and inside is white, While this limited edition one has a pinkish pearl color on the outside and the inside is pinkish beige. 

Taa-daaaaa! Looks very princessyyy! (｡♥‿♥｡)

The case consists of a built-in mirror, refill powder + puff holders.

 Comparison: Skin Remaker Case 2013 & Skin Remaker Case II

Pressed Pore Cover Powder

When I went to the counter, the lady said this case needs to go with its “Skin Remaker Pore Cover Powdery Foundation” only & I was like “Really!? Σ(ﾟﾛﾟ｣)｣” Because, I actually like the Pressed Pore Cover refill more, it’s cheaper and the texture is lighter than Skin Remaker Pore Cover and I actually put the two refills next to one another and  turns out that the two refills looked like they are the exact same size! I can be pretty stubborn so I did not listen to the lady & bought the Pressed Pore Cover one instead!

(YOLO am I right? hahaha)

Ps. The powder doesn’t come with the case, you gotta purchase them separately.

Just like the other refill, this one also comes with a soft powder puff (I know some of you are thinking about “Powerpuff” when you read that, or is it just me? LOLz anyways, just forget about what I said, hahaha)

& now let’s see if it really fits…

Perfect!!

The puff fits perfectly and when I put in the refill it “clicks” so yes!! Conclusion: both refills are the same size!! (This powder actually has it’s “own” case that you can purchase too and it looks like this….

So, go with whichever one you like! (°∀°)b

The color of the powder is pale and between pink & yellow tone, the texture is also pretty light.

This one is great for a “light everyday makeup”. & If you’re thinking about covering scars with this powder I really don’t recommend because it’s very very light. It’s great for oil-control though!! ^____^

Conclusion

What I like!: о(ж＞▽＜)ｙ ☆

   1.)   I loooove love love the design and the color of the case! Super adorable! >w< and the case it pretty sturdy.

   2.)  Doesn’t matter which Majolica powder refill you pick, it will fit! LOL

   3.) Because I have light & oily skin this powder actually does a great job as an oil-control and surprisingly when I put it on it doesn’t make my face too white and becomes Ju-On!!! Hahaha.

   4.)    It’s pretty cheap considering the packaging and the quality!

          The Skin Remaker Case 2013 is 400 THB (about 12.85 USD) & The Pressed Pore Cover Refill is 329 THB (about 10.35 USD) Total= 729 THB (about 23.43 USD)

What I don’t like: Σ(゜ロ゜;)

            1.) I just wished they have a wider range of color for the Pressed Pore Cover refill. (The skin Remaker Pore Cover actually has 4 colors to choose from)
